From Session to Wall: The Proven Process That Works Every Time
More families across the Treasure Coast are coming back to printed portraits because they’re rediscovering how powerful it is to live with those images every day—to see them on the wall, flip through them in a book, and know their stories aren’t lost or hidden on a device.
Whether you live in Stuart, Palm City, Vero Beach, or one of the surrounding coastal towns, you’ve likely felt how fast time flies—and how easy it is to put off family portraits. But when the process is guided, personal, and easy to follow, it becomes something you’re genuinely excited to do.
They’re realizing that the most meaningful photography experiences are the ones that feel intentional and full-service—designed with their unique family, their home, and their story in mind.
At Dultmeier Photography, every portrait session is custom-tailored to your family and the Treasure Coast location you choose. From the very beginning, we plan with your home in mind—ensuring the artwork we create together feels like it truly belongs there. Every detail, from what you wear to where we photograph, is thoughtfully considered so the finished wall art or album reflects your family’s personality and fits beautifully into your life
The Creative Consultation: Where the Vision Begins
Before we ever plan a session, we’ll start with a quick phone call—just a few minutes to introduce ourselves and give you a sense of how I work. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule your creative consultation, which can take place in person in Stuart, Florida or over Zoom.
That’s where the real planning begins. We’ll talk about your family—who they are right now, what matters most to you, and how you want to enjoy these portraits for years to come.
We'll look at locations across the Treasure Coast that feel meaningful, from the beaches of Hutchinson Island to the oak trees of Vero Beach. I’ll give you easy tips that lead to a successful portrait session and guide you in choosing clothing that complements both your family and your home.
If you’re considering wall portraits for your living room or a gallery wall in your hallway, I’ll ask you to photograph your walls so we can create custom mock-ups. We’ll also explore options like Storyteller Albums and Folio Boxes depending on your preferences.
This is where ideas begin to flow and your session starts to take shape. My goal is to take all the pressure off and help you envision the final result—even before I ever pick up my camera.

Mock-Up Magic: Seeing It All Come Together
After your session, I’ll take the lead in curating your portraits and bringing everything to life.
You won’t have to scroll through dozens of images or second-guess your favorites. I’ll already have selected the strongest portraits and designed thoughtful options that reflect your family and your home. My job is to make this process easy for you—drawing on years of experience to know which images will look stunning on the wall and how they flow together in an album.
Based on what we discussed in your consultation, I’ll create custom mock-ups:
You’ll see your images on your actual walls
You’ll preview framing, sizes, and layout ideas
For Storyteller Albums, you’ll see an initial design
The mock ups are thoughtful starting points, created with your home and family in mind. From there, we’ll adjust and refine until it feels exactly right to you.
It’s a collaborative, guided experience designed to help you make easy decisions. You’ll leave this appointment feeling confident and excited about how it will feel to finally have the portraits you’ve been wanting.
A Photography Experience That Feels Effortless
From the first phone call to the day your portraits are installed, you’ll never be left wondering what to do next.
Every part of the process is designed to support you, reduce overwhelm, and help you create something meaningful and lasting for your home in Stuart, Vero Beach, or beyond.
When you look at your walls, flip through your album, or rotate images in your folio box, you’ll know every decision was guided with care.
Up Next: What Makes This Experience So Complete
From an idea to the moment your portrait artwork is hung on the wall, the final blog post walks you through delivery and installation—so your portraits aren’t just planned, they’re perfectly placed and ready to be enjoyed every day.
