What story does your decor tell?

Displaying large photographs of your kids and family sends a strong message

Have you thought about the messages your decor choices send to your kids about what is important in your family? I think having portraits front and center sends a very strong message to us all about who and what we value.

In this Vero Beach family, each child is celebrated as an individual. Each child is told HE is important enough for a 20x24 canvas on the wall.

This story is told each and every day as this family goes through life here on the Treasure Coast, through iconic professional photography that captures each person for who they are.

We created these images at Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach, along with several other photographs of the family together, the parents together and lots of fun little moments in between poses. The kids had a great time and so did mom and dad.

A couple of weeks after the session, we met at the Dultmeier Photography Gallery in Stuart, where we sat together in a relaxed atmosphere and worked together to choose portraits. (I had already gone through the hundreds of images I took, and chose the best, which made it easy for the parents to make their choices.)

Using a quick photograph of this wall space, I used my professional software to create a mock up that showed us how these images would look in this space and what size would be best, not too big and not too small. Making the selections was fun and easy.

This is a mockup of the wall design. See how close it looks to the final installation!

Next, I went to work and magically created all the finished portraits—gifts for grandparents, a framed and matted family portrait, plus these beautiful individual Museum-quality canvases and other prints. I took care of every detail to make sure the images are all PERFECTION, even re-ordering one canvas that had a flaw, while mom and dad went on with their busy lives.

The final installation of these individual images brings life to the staircase and can be seen from upstairs, downstairs and as the kids run up and down the stairs. Other images from this session are located throughout the house, along with portraits created from two prior photography sessions.

As mom says, “I love looking at our portraits everyday. It’s amazing how much they have already changed.”

Do you walk by daily and see the people you love right there in front of you?

Are your portraits part of your decor?

Do you have special, iconic images that celebrate each person at a moment when they are looking their best?
