My name is Diane Dultmeier. I grew up in a small town called Silver Lake, Kansas. For more than twenty years, I have been a portrait photographer in Stuart, Florida. I love photographing people! My most favorite thing is to spend time totally involved in photographing a family or children or a baby and to hear later that my photographs are the best ones ever taken of them--that I totally captured their relationships and who they really are.
I am very lucky to have a career doing something I really love. I discovered photography during my junior year of high school and went on to earn my Bachelor's Degree in photojournalism. During my career, I have tried all kinds of photography--I was a staff photographer at several newspapers (daily and weekly); I have done commercial, product and architectural photography, modeling photography, weddings and bar mitzvahs. I have contributed to many publications, including Stuart Magazine, Newsweek, USA Today, The Stuart News, The Palm Beach Post, Luminaries, Palm Beach Illustrated, and Notables.
But, my most favorite thing, by far, is to photograph regular, everyday people who value my style of photography. Clients have told me through the years how much they cherish the images I did of them years earlier. How glad they are that they made time and found the money to do the portraits when they did and how they regard the images as their "treasures." I consider this work to be vastly more important than an image published in Newsweek or some other publication.
Besides photography, my other loves are my husband Mike Ballinger, and my two sons, Daniel, 10, and Andrew,7. Mike is my business partner, so if you call us, there is a good chance he will answer the phone. He is a great guy who grew up in Oklahoma and truly loves his family. He is one of the nicest people I know.
